Green Thought Association Looking for Project Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide coordination support to the projects carried out by the Green Thinking Association, which has been carrying out national and international studies for the dissemination of green policies in Turkey for approximately 13 years, in line with climate change and renewable energy, ecology, and sustainability work areas,
• While carrying out the work of these projects, working with different institutions, individuals, and movements from the Greens of Turkey and Europe, and following the current studies and discussions in the field,
• To follow the event calendar of the relevant projects and to plan the events within the framework of the calendar, to keep the records of the project, to file, to make technical and financial reports, to communicate with the contract partners, and to carry out active communication with the project partners
• To plan, together with the office team, the preparation and execution of all kinds of organizations and activities (conference, webinar, capacity building training, etc.)
• To maintain the internal and external communication of the association together with the association team and especially the communication employee; preparing and updating the website and social media announcements regarding the project with the communication employee
• To achieve the goals of the project, to follow up the work in the field simultaneously, to make the necessary updates, and to maintain communication with the office team.

Required Qualifications

• If you are interested in following the agenda in the field of green policy, be interested in the discussions in this field, and be excited about the spread of the green movement in Turkey,
• At least two years of professional or voluntary experience in non-governmental organizations,
• Preferably to graduate from social sciences departments of universities,
• At least 2 years of professional working experience in organization, coordination areas
• To have information about non-governmental organizations operating in the fields of the climate crisis, nature rights, green cities, and the main areas of struggle in Turkey,
• To have the ability to work independently in a dynamic work tempo, to work in a team, to carry out joint work, to follow the work, and to take the initiative when necessary,
• Being open to creative planning and innovation
• Having experience in conference, meeting, and workshop organization,
• If you have a good command of the use of basic computer programs (word, excel, PowerPoint) and - good use of Openoffice, Google or Microsoft's text, table, and presentation programs (word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• To be able to make corporate correspondence when necessary and to have knowledge of written and spoken English at a level to create content

Working Conditions

• This position is a 1-year full-time position (working days are flexible depending on the day of training and activity schedules, totaling 40 hours per week). After a 2-month trial period, the contract is open for renewal in line with mutual motivation and projects.
• His workplace is Beşiktaş, İstanbul and he can work remotely under pandemic conditions. However, since the office of the association is located in Istanbul and it is necessary to be in the office especially on joint working days and emergencies, people living in Istanbul are expected to apply.
