The Sandoz Scholarship, run in collaboration with One Young World (OYW) and global pharmaceutical company Sandoz, has launched its 2026 application period to support young leaders who improve access to global healthcare and reduce inequalities in the health sector.
No direct cash grant is provided within the scope of the program; however, 5 young leaders to be selected will be given the opportunity to participate in the One Young World 2026 Summit, to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, with a full scholarship. The scholarship fully covers round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, local transportation expenses, and exclusive mentorship ("buddy" support) from Sandoz experts throughout the summit.
Supported Activities / Areas
- Development of digital or artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools that facilitate access to healthcare services in underserved regions.
- Innovative supply chain solutions that ensure the delivery of essential medicines to rural and remote areas.
- Local health education and awareness programs conducted in disadvantaged communities.
- Advocacy activities aimed at making medicines and healthcare services more affordable and accessible.
Eligibility Criteria
- Young leaders aged between 18 and 30 at the date of the summit. (Exceptionally, applications from candidates over 30 who can demonstrate strong social impact and initiative will also be considered.)
- Those with tangible experience in producing practical or innovative solutions that improve healthcare services or reduce health inequalities.
- Open to all young leaders worldwide without any geographical restrictions (candidates from Turkey are fully eligible).
