Purpose and scope of the program
The grant aims to alleviate the direct financial burdens faced by victims and their families. There is no specific budget ceiling stated for the program, and applications will remain open until the end of the current year.
Note: Higher Hope does not provide direct services (e.g., detective work or legal consultation) nor does it refer you to resources. The grant is provided exclusively to fund services you have pre-identified and agreed upon.
Supported activities / areas
- Private detective fees
- Funeral expenses
- Expenses for search efforts and rescue operations
- Forensic tests and related basic needs
Eligibility criteria (who can apply?)
- Victims of violent crime, family members of missing persons, or legally appointed advocates.
- Applicants must be over 18 years old.
- Applications are accepted worldwide (no regional or country restrictions).
- Applicants are required to provide documentation for both the qualifying crime and their financial hardship/need.
Evidence of qualifying crimes: Police reports, death certificates, news articles (as long as they are supported by other official documents).
Evidence of financial hardship: Paid invoices for reimbursement, unpaid service bills, price quotes from chosen professionals/vendors, or spending tables summarizing expected costs.
