The Interledger Foundation has launched the 2026 “Interledger on Campus” micro-grant program to support university student clubs and communities in experiencing open payment systems and financial inclusion through hands-on projects. Micro-grants of up to $5,000 are provided for student-led projects. Supported projects must be completed within a maximum of 3 months, and all activities must be finished by December 31, 2026.
Which fields are supported?
The program supports hands-on projects in the following areas:
- Open payment systems and interoperability
- Digital financial access and financial inclusion
- Events based on hackathons, workshops, webinars, and peer learning
- Financial health and digital economy awareness activities
Who can apply?
- Students enrolled at accredited universities
- Student clubs and student communities
- Applications are open to all countries, including Turkey
In addition, a letter of institutional support from the university must be submitted for applications. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis between March 16 and July 31, 2026.
