The International Climate Initiative (IKI) Small Grants Program has announced its 7th call.

The International Climate Initiative (IKI) has opened applications for the 7th call period under its Small Grants Program, which supports local civil society organizations and non-profit projects in developing countries.

Program Objective

The program aims to strengthen the capacities and finance the projects of local organizations working in the areas of greenhouse gas emission reduction, climate change adaptation, conservation of natural carbon sinks, and support for biodiversity.

Who can apply?

  • Turkey is eligible to apply to the call, as it is among the countries eligible for ODA (Official Development Assistance).
  • Applicants must be a non-profit NGO or a private company running a non-profit project.
  • Organizations must have at least a 3-year operational history and an average annual income of €60,000 – €500,000 for the last three years.

Grant support

  • The grant amount per project ranges from €60,000 to €200,000.
  • The project duration should be between 12 and 24 months.

Important dates

  • Application (registration) deadline: January 15, 2026
  • Planned project start: First quarter of 2027
