Let's talk: Share your experiences of the fundraising permit process

Fundraising permit processes, which directly affect the resource development efforts of civil society, continue to be a major challenge for CSOs. By sharing your experiences, you can contribute to the development of joint solutions.

The fundraising legislation and the practices of the administration, which directly impact the resource development processes of civil society, remain among the key challenges in the field. The complexity of permit procedures, inconsistent practices, rejection of applications, or insufficient oversight mechanisms restrict CSOs’ relationships with donors and limit their revenues.

In this context, within the scope of the Monitoring Freedom of Association-II Project, which we are implementing in cooperation with the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TUSEV) with the support of the European Union, we would like to hear about CSOs’ experiences with fundraising in order to identify challenges and develop solution-oriented recommendations.
    •    Has your organization ever applied for a fundraising permit?
    •    If so, was your application approved or rejected?
    •    What was your overall experience with the fundraising permit process?
    •    If you obtained a permit, for what purposes and through which methods did you fundraise?
    •    How did administrative requirements or audit processes affect your fundraising activities?
    •    If your application was rejected, what were the reasons?

By answering these questions on behalf of your CSO, you can help make the challenges more visible and contribute to developing collective solutions. You can access the contact form here.

You can submit your views until Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
