Leyli Art Association, Mahal Literature, and Corazon Books Open Call for a "Shadows" Themed Short Story Anthology

Leyli Art Association, in collaboration with Mahal Literature and Corazon Kitap, has issued an open call for the rights-based short story anthology titled “Shadows,” to be published in 2026. Focusing on the relationship art establishes with social issues, Leyli Art Association aims through this project to engage with invisible experiences, suppressed stories, and areas left in the dark within the collective memory through literature. The anthology, shaped around the theme of “Shadows,” seeks to make issues of invisibility, exclusion, and memory visible on both an individual and societal level through fictional stories.

You can apply to the anthology with previously unpublished fiction stories between 1,000 and 3,000 words. Applications are only accepted in docx format and through the online form.

Selected stories will be invited to an online writers' workshop following the editorial evaluation process and will be included in the final selection after a revision process. The anthology will be published in print in collaboration with Leyli Art Association, Mahal Literature and Corazon Books.
The theme of "Shadows" offers a broad area for interpretation, from personal reckonings to social injustices, from spatial memory to temporal fractures. The project invites young writers and creators who wish to connect with rights-based issues through literature to apply.

The application deadline is March 31, 2026.

You can access the application form and detailed information here.
