The Sustainability Steps Association is organizing a Mentorship Program for early-stage startups as part of its “Responsible Engineers of Sustainability” project. Five startups selected based on technology and sustainability will receive mentorship for six months to develop their business models and strengthen their impact focus.
Who can apply?
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30: The project's target audience is young entrepreneurs in this age range. Gender, social class, geographical diversity, and team diversity will also be taken into account in the evaluation for inclusivity.
- Have at least one engineer on the team: Startups are expected to have an engineering infrastructure.
- The venture must be technology-based and sustainability-focused: The venture must offer technology-based solutions to environmental and social issues; it is important that the solution can be linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- The idea should not be merely conceptual: The entrepreneur must have tested, implemented, or begun to implement their solution, even on a small scale.
- Commitment to participation: Regular participation in the mentoring process for 6 months and active participation in online group mentoring sessions are expected.
