As of 2008, FoEI has been organizing campaigns on today's pressing environmental and social issues with more than 2 million members and supporters around the world. FoEI opposes the existing economic and collective globalization model and develops solutions for the formation of environmentally sustainable societies living in social justice.
The main areas in which FoEI operates are as follows:
- Protection of human and environmental rights,
- Preserving the world's disappearing biological diversity,
- Repayment of ecological debt spent by rich countries in line with their economic interests to exploited countries.
Membership Criteria
As a federation of environmental organizations based on popular movements, FoEI does not accept individual memberships. Candidates who meet the membership criteria, who want to become a FoEI member and who do not have a FoEI member in their country can apply to [email protected] to fill in the application form.
