Silva Turkey Women's Fund announced its new research focusing on the financial sustainability of feminist organizations in Turkey. The report, titled “Building a Transformative, Collaborative, Feminist, and Accountable Fund Ecosystem for Feminist Organizations in Turkey,” sheds light on the funding crisis faced by feminist organizations and proposes justice-based, sustainable solutions to the issue.
While the study highlights the transformative impact of feminist movements in areas such as democracy, peace, climate justice, and human rights, it also notes that feminist organizations are underfunded, invisible, or completely excluded. The research also notes that, especially during times of crisis, women-led organizations face the risk of closure, which jeopardizes access to vital support for millions of people.
The findings of the study will also be shared with the international public at the “Financing for Feminist Futures” conference to be held in Madrid on October 8-10, 2025.
