A new space for civil society in Eskişehir: Civil Society Support Center

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality has begun accepting registrations for its Civil Society Support Center (STDM), established to strengthen the institutional capacities of civil society organizations in the city and support their effective participation in local governance processes. The center aims to provide civil society organizations with physical space and to establish sustainable partnerships between the municipality and civil society.

A rights-based and participatory approach takes center stage
The Center aims to support the institutional development of associations working in rights-based, social, and cultural fields in Eskişehir and increase their visibility. Operating with a membership system, STDM will accept applications from associations established under the Associations Law No. 5253, registered with DERBİS, and operating within the borders of Eskişehir province.

Organizations whose membership is approved by the “Evaluation Board” will be able to benefit from the various opportunities offered by the center free of charge. In this context:

  • Ergin Orbey Stage / Social Stage (167 seats) can be used for events such as training, panels, and talks,
  • A 25-seat meeting room will be allocated for association working meetings,
  • Institutional support such as postal and secretarial services will be provided.

Registrations for STDM will continue until November 20. Associations wishing to apply can complete their registration process at siviltoplum.eskisehir.bel.tr.
