PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Association for Supporting Women Candidates (KA.DER) is a women's rights organization advocating equal representation of women in all fields. Although women in Turkey have proven their presence in different social areas, they are still far from equal representation in senior management, especially in politics. KA.DER, which was established in March 1997 in order to eliminate this inequality, to ensure the participation of all citizens in decision-making, to bring women's experience and the ability to produce solutions to social and political fields; works to increase the representation of women in all decision-making bodies that are elected and appointed. KA.DER conducts lobbying, advocacy, campaigning, organization, solidarity and training activities in order to achieve these goals.

The primary work areas and responsibilities of the Project Coordinator, who will work in the Headquarters office in Istanbul under the KA.DER General Management Board, are as follows:

Project Coordinator is supposed to:

  • To work full-time within the scope of projects carried out by the Association
  • To follow the project announcements and informing the Administrative Board about the subject
  • To fullfill the processes related to the project and concluding the project in accordance with the targeted aims
  • To make weekly/monthly/yearly plans within the scope of the project and to follow the progress, to write internal reports about the project, to inform the relevant people in the association,
  • To follow up on the financial affairs of the project, to do the necessary research for purchases and to present the outputs to the relevant person, to report the developments regarding the project budget to the association officials and the grant provider,
  • To establish and maintaining the necessary communication with all stakeholders of the project (related public units, NGOs, project participants, beneficiaries)
  • To ensure and improve the functioning of the groups and networks to be formed as per the project, to communicate the developments concerning the groups related to the project
  • To organize events, workshops, meetings, etc. to be organized as per the project; and showing promotional activities in organizations; Providing feedback and reporting from events
  • To promote, announce the project. To support the creation of content; work with the relevant person in the association
  • To be able to carry out the project in accordance with all legislation and procedures
  • Participating in capacity building activities, target-strategy meetings held within the association
  • To follow the work of the networks and platforms that the association is involved in and to develop joint projects with the institutions in the relevant network/platforms
  • To prepare the reports related to the project in accordance with the project legislation and the project schedule.
  • To prepare regular reports on project activities to the DER General Board of Directors.
  • To make project applications (international funds)

Primary Qualifications Required in Candidates:

  • Graduated from related departments of universities (sociology, psychology, international relations, political science, etc. social sciences),
  • At least 3 years of working experience as a volunteer or professional in Non-Governmental Organizations,
  • At least 3 years of experience in project execution and reporting,
  • Advanced English reading, writing and speaking skills
  • To have a grasp of women's studies,
  • Successful in human relations and prone to teamwork,
  • To have effective presentation skills, strong representation and expression skills, prone to teamwork,
  • Skilled and experienced in organizing events, conferences, meetings where high participation is expected
  • Able to adapt to intense work tempo,
  • Able to use the Internet and MS Office programs effectively,
  • No travel restrictions
  • Residing or able to reside in Istanbul

SPECIALIST ACCOUNTANT

The primary field of work and responsibilities of the Specialist Accountant, who will work full-time in the Headquarters office in Istanbul under the KA.DER General Management Board, are as follows:

Job description:

  • To follow up the daily accounting works, Recording to the Micro accounting program in accordance with the uniform chart of accounts and filing the documents
  • Entry & exit transactions of the employees, follow-up of payroll transactions, issuance of declarations
  • To support the preparation of reports, financial statements and documents required for the management and audit of the association's budget and financing processes
  • To provide support to the manager or the relevant project team in the preparation of the annual estimation, budget and project budgets, tracking the incoming funds
  • To make relevant notifications to official institutions

Primary Qualifications Required in Candidates:

  • Graduated from related departments of universities (economics and administrative sciences, etc.),
  • At least 5 years of formal accounting experience
  • Intermediate level of English
  • Preferably with SMMM certificate
  • Able to adapt to intense work tempo,
  • Able to use the Internet and MS Office programs effectively,
  • Successful in human relations, prone to teamwork and adapting to intense work tempo
  • residing or able to reside in Istanbul
