Subject of the award
The award is open to one of the following research outputs that contribute to human development and are directly related to social progress, such as access to opportunities, gender equality, education, decent living conditions, health, care work, childhood, old age, poverty, social exclusion, and welfare:
(a) A doctoral thesis (in Turkish or English) that has been unanimously approved by the jury, or
(b) An article (in Turkish or English) derived from a doctoral thesis or based on entirely new and original research, published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed international journal indexed in a prestigious index, or
(c) A final report of a research project supported by a national or international distinguished research institution (in Turkish or English).
Requirements for nomination
- Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey
- Having obtained a (first) doctoral degree within the last four (4) years
- Being employed full-time in the academic staff of universities or in civil society organisations conducting scientific research
The total award amount for 2025 has been set at 180,000 (One Hundred and Eighty Thousand) Turkish Lira.
