Project Call from UNFPA to Civil Society Organizations

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has announced a new call for project proposals for NGOs working in various fields. The call aims to support civil society activities within a broad thematic framework, ranging from reproductive health and rights to gender equality, from youth empowerment to the care economy.

Purpose of the Program and Supported Areas

It is expected that the projects to be supported within the scope of the call will focus on at least one of the following topics:

  • Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: A life cycle approach from adolescence to menopause, access to rights-based and safe maternity services.
  • Gender Equality and Combatting Violence: Prevention and intervention efforts, including digital violence, and engaging men in the process.
  • Youth Empowerment: Adolescent health, life skills, prevention of addictions, and combating child/forced marriages.
  • Care Economy: Developing family-friendly policies and strengthening the care economy.

Application Areas (Lots)

Organizations wishing to apply must choose only one of the three Lots below:

  • Lot 1 – Service Delivery: Service delivery and social assistance activities for the most vulnerable women and girls (including in humanitarian contexts).
  • Lot 2 – Research and Advocacy: Research, evidence generation, development of knowledge products, and preparation of policy recommendations.
  • Lot 3 – Capacity Development: Institutional support applications aimed at strengthening the internal capacities of organizations.
