The Young Innovators Award, conducted by the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA), has opened its 2026 application period to support young leaders who produce sustainable solutions to environmental, social, and economic challenges in the Mediterranean basin.
Within the scope of the program, two young innovators to be selected as a result of the evaluation will be provided with a financial award (support) of €10,000 per person to help them develop and scale up their innovative solutions.
Supported Activities / Areas
- Innovative projects focused on sustainability that create a measurable impact on society, the environment, and local economies.
- Social inclusion-oriented work that encourages the empowerment of young people, especially women innovators.
- Locally implemented field solutions with the potential for scalability and replication in other regions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals aged between 18 and 35 at the date of application. (Legal entities or institutions cannot apply; only individual applications are accepted).
- Young people who are citizens of PRIMA participant countries, including Turkey, or who legally reside in these countries.
(Note: Individuals who have previously received an award from the EU or Euratom for the same activity cannot apply to this program).
