Who can apply?
- Associations and foundations working in fields such as human rights, rule of law, democracy, gender equality, and environmental rights.
- Local initiatives and platforms that are not yet legally registered, but are actively advocating for rights in the field.
Note: Any civil society structure that does not discriminate, does not promote violence, and embraces universal human rights principles can apply.
Main areas supported
Within the scope of this program, TIHV responds to the urgent or strategic needs of organizations. The support may include:
- Institutional Sustainability: Essential administrative expenses that will prevent the closure or paralysis of the organization, such as rent, bills, basic personnel, or accounting costs.
- Holistic Security: Enhancing the physical security of offices, providing digital security infrastructure (servers, licensed software).
- Legal and Psychosocial Support: Legal consultancy in the face of administrative fines, judicial harassment, or psychosocial support for organization staff against burnout syndrome.
- Capacity Building: Training/consultancy needs that will increase the organization's capacity for strategic planning, advocacy, or resource development.
Application calendar and evaluation process
There is no specific deadline for this program.
Considering that organizations at risk may have urgent needs, applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and are swiftly reviewed by TIHV evaluation boards.
How to apply?
Applications are made through TIHV’s specially designed online portal. In the application form, you are expected to clearly communicate your organization’s work, the challenges you face, your risk situation, and how the support you request will protect/empower you.
