Rights-Focused Media Education by um:ag

Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation (um:ag) organizes Rights-Focused Media Training within the scope of the project titled Strengthening Civil Society for Participatory Democracy. The training is open to the applications of representatives of civil society organizations, rights defenders, activists, and journalists who carry out rights-based work in every region of Turkey.

The topics and trainers of the courses to be given in Rights-Focused Media Education are as follows:

  • Digital Storytelling - Mehmet Şafak Sarı
  • Anatomy of the News - Gökçer Tahincioğlu
  • Rights Based Journalism - Tezcan Durna
  • Human Rights and Digital Rights - Faruk Çayır
  • Mobile Journalism - Can Ertuna
  • Podcast - Kemal Goktas
  • Participation in Political Processes - Özge Mumcu Aybars

The training will be held twice in June with the same content, with different participants, on 11-12 June 2022 and 25-26 June 2022.

Those who want to participate in the training must fill out the application form by 23:59 on Thursday, June 9th. Participants in the training will be announced via e-mail on Friday, June 10 at the latest, and the course log-in information (Zoom link, ID, and password) will be sent to the participants.
