Roof Coliving Presents Ankara's First Placemaking Festival: Changing Places, Changing Spaces

In the 100th year of Atatürk Forest Farm, the historic Hangars are opening their doors to Turkey's first Placemaking Festival. Taking place on November 1–2, 2025, the festival invites young people and city dwellers to think about and transform the city together, led by Roof Coliving.

Atatürk Forest Farm, one of the symbols of the Republic's modernization vision, hosts the Placemaking Festival in its historic Hangars on its 100th anniversary. Organized by Roof Coliving and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture, Arts, and Social Affairs in collaboration with “Ankara Culture,” the festival aims to preserve heritage while strengthening Ankarans' connection to the city.

Visitors will experience a program filled with creative workshops such as embroidery on photographs, illustration, collage, and calligraphy, theater plays for children, evening film screenings, and a Göksu concert. The festival will be a space for Ankarans of all ages to think, learn, share, and transform the city together.
