Sense Foundation Brussels 2026 Call: Support for Medical Research and Disability Projects

Sense Foundation Brussels continues to provide funding for projects working on sensory impairments (such as visual and auditory) and neurological diseases. The deadline for the first term applications in 2026 is April 30.

Sense Foundation Brussels, which supports scientific research in the health field and patient-focused social projects, has begun accepting new project applications for the upcoming period. The foundation gives priority to projects focused on the treatment of diseases affecting vision and hearing, as well as neurological disorders (such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc.), or projects aimed at improving patients' quality of life.

Supported Fields

  • Scientific Research: Medical devices, new treatment methods, and genetic research
  • Social Support: Integration of people with disabilities into society, psychological support for patients' relatives, and awareness initiatives
  • Technology: Assistive technologies developed for people with disabilities

Who Can Apply?

  • NGOs: Associations and foundations working in the fields of health and disability.
  • Universities and Research Centers: Medical schools and institutes.
  • Start-ups: Ventures developing health technology (MedTech).

Grant Amount

Project budgets are determined according to need. Support generally ranges between 10,000 Euro and 50,000 Euro.

Application Timeline

The foundation evaluates applications in two periods per year. For 2026, the first period:

  • First period application deadline: April 30, 2026
  • Second period application deadline: October 31, 2026
