Sigourney Award 2026: Awards for Psychoanalysis, Social Justice, and Interdisciplinary Impact

The Sigourney Award Trust has launched the 2026 application period to reward work in the field of psychoanalysis that has been completed and made an impact in the last 10 years (2016-2025). The program aims to support individuals, teams, and civil society organizations that advance psychoanalysis, combine it with social justice, or integrate it with different disciplines.

Scope of the Program 

The award provides financial support for completed works that have created measurable impact within the past 10 years, rather than funding future projects. Selected individuals or organizations are granted high-value cash awards to honor their achievements.

Supported Areas

  • Development of psychoanalytic theory or clinical practices
  • Integration of psychoanalysis with social justice, human dignity, and other disciplines
  • Utilization of psychoanalytic principles to raise public awareness

Who can apply?

Individuals or organizations applying to the program must meet the following criteria:

  • Be individuals (clinicians, academics, artists, etc.), research teams, or nonprofit organizations (NGOs) operating globally (including Turkey).
  • The submitted work must have been completed between 2016 and 2025 and have created a tangible impact.
  • Able to provide references (evaluation) from two independent experts who can assess the work.

Candidates must complete their applications by July 31, 2026 at the latest. Final results will be announced in November 2026, following the evaluation process.
