The “Strong Partnerships for Gender Equality at the Local Level” program continues in Gaziantep. The Global Equality and Inclusion Network Association (KAPI), the 1984 Association (D84), and the Real Equality, Pluralism, and Inclusion Association will organize the training on July 8-9, 2025.
The first day of the event will feature a comprehensive training program aimed at capacity building for female village headwomen, council members, and women interested in politics. The second day will include a panel discussion and workshop with local stakeholders.
Day 1: Capacity Building Training
- Date: Tuesday, July 8
- Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Location: Gaziantep City Council
- Participants: Female mayors and council members, assembly members, and women interested in politics
- Trainers: Dr. Ayşe Kaşıkırık, Dr. Gülçin Özge Tan
- Training Modules: Equality Policies in Local Governance (Local Equality Action Plans, Gender-Responsive Budgeting, Prevention of Violence Against Women), Gender Equality, Women's Economic Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation, Local Political Empowerment and Women's Leadership.
