The German Federal Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes) issues a call for General Project Support twice a year with the aim of supporting innovative projects with a high international impact in all areas of the arts. The program, which encompasses various disciplines such as visual and performing arts, literature, music, dance, film, photography, architecture, and new media, has announced that the deadline for applications for 2025 is July 31.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants may be institutions based in Germany or another country.
- Project activities must be publicly visible in Germany (e.g., exhibitions, events, screenings, etc.).
- Projects must have a budget of at least €50,000.
- At least 20% of the total budget must be secured through own resources or third-party funding.
- The project must be innovative and have an international impact.
- The media content produced must be available in German.
- The application form must be completed in German, and applications must be submitted via the German website.

- Support is directed exclusively toward large-scale, innovative projects with an international scope.
- The foundation allocates approximately 10 million euros annually for this purpose.
- Applications and project documents are accepted only in German.

- Eligibility: Institutions from within or outside Germany may apply; however, projects must gain visibility in Germany.
