AXS Film Fund has begun accepting applications for its new term with the aim of supporting creators working in the fields of documentary film and non-fiction new media, particularly those from disabled individuals and disadvantaged communities. Under the fund, up to five creators per year are provided with support of up to 10,000 USD to complete their projects. Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be over 18 years of age
- Not be enrolled in a full-time degree programme
- Apply individually (financial sponsorship is accepted)
- Applications from individuals with disabilities are particularly encouraged, but all creative individuals will be considered.
Supported Projects
- Non-fiction media projects with a minimum length of 45 minutes, including documentary films or film/video components
- The project may be at any stage of production (pre-production, production, editing, distribution)
- English subtitles are mandatory for projects prepared in languages other than English
- Fiction projects are not supported
Important Dates
- 2 June 2025: Application portal opens.
- 31 July 2025: Application process closes.
- January 2026: Results announced
