The Artists' Contacts programme, run by the IFA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) to support intercultural interaction and collaborations, is now open for applications. The programme provides financial support to artists and cultural professionals working in creative fields such as contemporary visual arts, architecture, photography, media art and design for their international projects.
Programme Objective
Artists' Contacts aims to promote cultural dialogue between Germany and countries in transition or developing countries and to establish long-term collaborations between art professionals. The programme offers artists and cultural stakeholders the opportunity to develop creative projects and participate in international networks.
Who can apply?
- Artists from Germany and cultural professionals who have lived in Germany for at least five years
- Artists and cultural workers from countries in transition or developing countries
Supported activities
- Exhibitions, performances, artist-in-residence programmes, workshops, preparation and research trips
- Participation in international events such as symposiums, conferences and interviews
- Cultural and artistic study visits
Support Provided
- Travelling and accommodation costs
- Per diem expenses (within the scope of the German Federal Travel Expenses Act)
- Transport and credit card expenses
The programme aims to increase cultural interaction between Germany and the Global South and to create a more inclusive and diverse environment for cooperation through the arts.
