Tell Your City's Story: Techniques and Tools Workshop

Ali İsmail Korkmaz Foundation (ALİKEV) will organize the online workshop “You Tell the City’s Story: Techniques and Tools Workshop” as part of the “Empowering Youth and Building Collective Resilience in Hatay Project.”

In this workshop, which aims to transform the stories shaped in the Memory and Narrative Workshop into digital content, fundamental technical information will be shared to enable participants to produce using audio, video, and digital storytelling tools. The workshop will address production processes designed to make the city’s memories visible on digital platforms.

What’s in the workshop? 

  • Storytelling: Turning an idea into an effective scenario
  • Podcast Production: Audio recording techniques, basic equipment knowledge, and the editing process
  • Video and YouTube Content Production: Use of lighting, camera angles, and basic video editing
  • Digital Visibility: Strategies for disseminating the produced content to wider audiences will be discussed.

  • Participation: Free of charge. Capacity is limited.

This workshop aims to familiarize participants with technical tools and help them prepare their own digital demo content before the “Face-to-Face Production and Mapping Workshop” to be held on February 14, 2026.

In the workshop, a youth-friendly cultural and arts map of the city will be created around the theme of “Art That Heals”; the production process will proceed with podcast recordings and video demos. All young people who want to make their voices heard about their city and leave a lasting mark through digital tools are invited to the workshop.
