Training on Climate Resilience in Agriculture and Food Systems to Begin in Ankara

In cooperation with the Ankara Governorship, the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, and the Climate Research Association, a training and mentoring program will be organized to strengthen the resilience of agriculture and food systems against climate change.

The program titled “Trainer Training and Consultancy on Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation Strategies in Ankara’s Agri-Food System” will not be limited to knowledge transfer; it will also serve as a platform where diverse stakeholders can come together to share experiences and develop joint project ideas.

The in-person training will be held in Ankara for two groups of 25 participants each, with a total duration of 16 hours.

Training topics

  • Climate Change and Its Relation to the Food System (4 hours)
  • Climate-Resilient Agricultural Production Approaches (4 hours)
  • Climate Change Adaptation in Food Supply and Value Chains (8 hours)

Training dates

  • Group 1: 20–21 October 2025
  • Group 2: 3–4 November 2025

In addition to the trainings, participants will receive consultancy support under three different themes to foster concrete projects and collaborations:

  1. Net zero in food chains, waste-loss reduction, and resource efficiency
  2. Climate-resilient agroecological agricultural production planning
  3. Policy and partnership development for climate change adaptation actions
