Program Objective
The UN Fund for the Fight against Modern Slavery aims to support projects for people who have survived contemporary forms of slavery such as forced labor, human trafficking, forced marriage, the worst forms of child labor, and sexual slavery. Within the scope of the Fund, priority is given to humanitarian, psychological, social, legal, and medical support provided to victims. Activities that do not include direct assistance, such as research, meetings, or conferences, are not prioritized.
Grant Support
- The annual grant amount generally ranges from 15,000 to 30,000 USD.
- Funds can be used for expenses related to the rehabilitation and reintegration of victims into society. This includes support for treatment, legal assistance, accommodation, and similar expenses.
Important Dates
- Application opening date: 15 January 2026
- Application deadline: 1 March 2026 (Geneva time)
- Implementation period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027
(Grants are usually allocated for use in the following year.)
Application Process
Applications will be submitted via the online Grant Management System (GMS) operated by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). Applications are accepted in English, French, or Spanish.
