UN Fund for Victims of Human Trafficking 2026 Call: Direct Support Grants for Victims

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has opened applications for the "Voluntary Trust Fund" (UNVTF) to support civil society organizations that provide direct assistance to victims of human trafficking. NGOs offering vital services such as shelter, health, and legal support will be eligible for grants of up to 60,000 US dollars.

Purpose of the Program

The program does not support general awareness campaigns, research, or conferences. It only targets direct humanitarian, legal, and financial assistance for victims of human trafficking.

Who can apply?

Associations and Foundations.

The organization must have been active for at least 1-2 years, and its statute/area of activity must include issues of human rights, victim protection, or combating human trafficking.

Supported activities

The project budget should be used for the following services:

  • Accommodation: Safe house (shelter) support.
  • Health: Medical treatment and psychosocial support (therapy, etc.).
  • Legal: Legal assistance so that victims can pursue their rights.
  • Education/Work: Vocational training courses and economic empowerment.
  • Priority: Victims fleeing armed conflict zones and those with refugee status (an important item for NGOs in Turkey).

Grant amount

  • Support between 20,000 USD and 60,000 USD annually per project.
  • Multi-year applications are possible (e.g., up to 24 months).
