UN Women is accepting proposals from civil society organizations to develop and roll out a Global Feminist Technology and Innovation Lab as part of its "Advocacy, Coalition Building and Transformative Feminist Action (ACT) to End Violence Against Women" programme.
Program Aim
The goal is to enhance the capacities of women's rights organizations (WROs) and activists to address technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFVAWG), improve their digital safety, and leverage technology and innovation for their advocacy work on ending violence against women.
Who Can Apply?
- Civil Society Organizations, academic/research institutions, or a consortium of such organizations specializing in technology, innovation, advocacy, and capacity strengthening on gender equality and/or violence against women and girls.
- Proposals must be global in scope; proposals focused only on a single country or region are not eligible.
- The applicant organization must have at least five years of experience in the relevant field (three years may be accepted in exceptional circumstances).
Budget
The total budget is up to USD 110,000, split between two focus areas:
- Focus Area 1: Enhancing capacities and cross-sectoral collaboration to prevent and respond to TFVAWG (Max Budget: USD 55,000).
- Focus Area 2: Leveraging advancements in technology and innovation to advance advocacy on EVAWG (Max Budget: USD 55,000).
Applicants may apply for one or both focus areas.
