UN Women, under the "Women and Youth for Democracy and Engagement (WYDE)" initiative funded by the European Union, invites proposals from civil society organizations to advance women's full and effective political participation and leadership at all levels.
The goal of the call is to enhance women's full and effective participation in decision-making, increase their representation in political institutions, and strengthen gender-responsive governance mechanisms. The initiative focuses on empowering women who are traditionally underrepresented or excluded, including young women, women with disabilities, and those from marginalized or minority communities.
Who Can Apply?
- Legally registered civil society organizations (NGOs), women's rights groups, feminist networks, and community-based organizations with a demonstrated track record in promoting women's leadership and participation.
- Applicants must have at least 3+ years of experience (5+ years preferred for larger awards).
- Projects must have a single-country implementation in a country eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA).
Grant Award
- The funding per award is between USD 45,000 and 150,000.
- The project length can be between 12–22 months.
