UNDP Turkey: Business and Human Rights Grant Program

Applications have started for the grant program launched under the “Responsible Businesses, Resilient Civil Society Project” implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Turkey.

Scope of the program and amount of support

The grant program is divided into three different Lots (categories) and will provide funding for projects lasting between 6 and 12 months:

  • Lot 1 (Fostering Dialogue): USD 80,001 – 140,000
  • Lot 2 (CSO Capacity Building): USD 60,000 – 80,000
  • Lot 3 (Women's Rights and Empowerment): USD 60,000 – 80,000

Supported activities / areas

Establishing structured dialogue among the business sector, employer/employee representatives, and civil society actors for the adoption of international and EU Business and Human Rights standards.

Strengthening CSOs’ capacities in programming, advocacy, monitoring, reporting, and accountability in the field of BHR.

Promoting women's rights and empowerment in workplaces, markets, and value chains.

Who can apply?

Civil society organizations that are legally established in Türkiye before December 31, 2024, and have legal personality can apply.

Non-profit legal entities supporting SMEs/businesses may participate as partners (For Lot 1, in particular, a partnership that promotes dialogue between the business sector and rights holders is required).

Applications must be submitted online through UNDP’s system and in English only (Applications in Turkish or hard copy will not be accepted).
