Vegan Association Turkey (TVD) is Looking for Event Manager

The Vegan Association Turkey (TVD) team is seeking a vegan Event Manager for a full-time position in their Istanbul/Levent office.

Job Description

In light of our principles set out in our association charter and in communication with the TVD team;

  • Planning, coordinating by creating a schedule and implementing TVD's activities throughout the year, 
  • Proposing and implementing new activities,
  • Researching, proposing and choosing venues,
  • Preparing contracts with third parties for all kinds of logistical and organizational services such as food, tickets, video and photo, etc. and maintaining communication,
  • Preparing sponsorship files,
  • Perform budgeting and invoicing processes,
  • Ensuring that necessary permits are obtained for events,
  • Creating surveys that contribute to public opinion research and provide feedback that can be used during and after events,
  • Coordinating with event volunteers and following up,
  • Informing the TVD team of developments by preparing official briefing materials,
  • Preparing post-event evaluation reports and suggesting revisions, if necessary, in light of these reports and participant surveys,
  • Perform and track all types of filing, documentation and archiving related to the events,
  • Undertake other tasks in collaboration with the TVD team on matters within their scope of duties, authority and responsibility.

Required Competencies and Specializations

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferably in Public Relations, Communications or Tourism),
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position,
  • Proficiency in the English language (both written and spoken),
  • Proficiency with office and communication software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Drive, Zoom and other document sharing systems,
  • Manage business correspondence via phone, email, etc.,
  • Knowledge of reporting and filing systems,
  • Planning, organizing and follow-up skills,
  • Organizing domestic and international liaisons,
  • Strong representation skills and sense of responsibility,
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, 
  • A good team player,
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking skills,
  • Pay attention to detail, work carefully, conscientiously and regularly,
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace of work,
  • No restrictions on domestic and international travel, 
  • Reside in Istanbul (preferably on the European side),
  • Able to actively use social media and technological tools,

Event Manager

You will be part of the TVD team and, in coordination with the TVD President and Project and Communications Manager, will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the association's activities to promote awareness of veganism, from World Vegan Day to the TVD Vegan Academy, from International Istanbul Vegfest to TVD VegMed. We are looking for a creative vegan event manager with strong communication and organizational skills.

Event Manager; will be responsible for the entire process of planning and managing the calendar of events. S/he will perform tasks such as researching venues, meeting with potential venues and sponsors, creating a budget and schedule, communicating with guests, and reporting on the event in a way that does not conflict with the ethical principles of our association.
