Wildlife Acoustics offers various grant opportunities every four months to encourage wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental conservation efforts. The program aims to support researchers working on bats, birds, amphibians, and other terrestrial wildlife, and to facilitate their participation in conferences.
Grant Types and Support Amounts
Standard Product Grant (Recording Devices and Software)
- A total of USD 12,000 worth of products is provided four times a year to researchers selected from around the world.
- Individual applicants may request up to USD 4,000 worth of products.
- Recording devices, accessories, and analysis software licenses may be included.
Software Grant Only
- A separate and simpler application process for those who only need analysis software.
- A Kaleidoscope Pro annual license is provided.
Travel Grant
For early-career researchers using Wildlife Acoustics equipment and software.
- Support for conference participation for the purpose of presenting a paper/poster.
- Up to 1,000 USD in support is provided (including registration, transportation, and accommodation).
Application Requirements
- All documents and applications must be prepared in English.
- A letter of recommendation is required (not required for the Software Grant).
- A document proving non-profit status is required. Taxes are not paid.
- Only complete applications will be evaluated.
- Applicants who miss a deadline may reapply for the next period.

- Q3: August 15, 2025
- Q4: November 15, 2025
