KEDV will organize the Nahıl New Year Shopping Festival to support women's cooperatives from 44 provinces in Turkey, particularly those in earthquake-affected areas, in reaching wider audiences, increasing their visibility, and generating income by bringing their products to market. The second Nahıl New Year Shopping Festival will be held this year from December 17-21 at Galataport Istanbul.
At the festival, which will take place in the Clock Tower Square inside Galataport Istanbul, women's cooperatives from across Turkey will offer their products for sale. Products made by women's handiwork will await visitors at stands specially set up for the festival.
Nahıl, whose name means abundance and prosperity, continues its work to enable women's cooperatives and individual women producers to enter the national and international markets by providing design support for their carefully crafted handmade products and adapting them to market needs.
