The World Food Programme (WFP) has launched a call for applications to select a civil society organization (implementing partner) to implement its "Cash for Food" program in the earthquake-affected provinces of Adıyaman, Hatay, and Kahramanmaraş.
The program aims to improve the food security and nutritional status of vulnerable Syrian households under temporary protection living outside camps. Under the current implementation, around 10,000 people receive monthly cash assistance of 1,000 TL per person via PTT, and the selected implementing partner is expected to continue this cash-based food assistance.
In addition to cash food assistance, the project planned to run from September 1, 2026, to September 1, 2027, aims to inform beneficiaries about available services and protection mechanisms, guide them towards livelihood and social support opportunities, establish effective feedback mechanisms, and ensure timely identification of protection risks and referral to appropriate services.
Applications will be open to civil society organizations with the capacity to operate in Adıyaman, Hatay, and Kahramanmaraş. Organizations will be evaluated based on accountability to communities, relevant field experience, cost-effectiveness, as well as the quality of proposed activities and expected outcomes.
Applications can be submitted online through the UN Partner Portal by filling out the Concept Note and Budget (Annex 2) templates prepared by WFP before the application deadline.
