What will be done within the program?
In the Ankara leg of the Ambassadors for Change Program, Turkey will work to produce effective policies to combat the climate crisis. Before the COP30 Climate Summit to be held in November, the program will meet with various institutions in Ankara to announce the demands of young people for the climate struggle, to set a climate target in line with Turkey's goal of reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions in 2053, to exit from fossil fuels and for a just transition.
What is the Change Ambassadors Program?
So far, 82 people from more than 20 cities have participated in the Ambassadors for Change Program and launched 27 campaigns to tackle the climate crisis in their regions. Through these campaigns, we have helped local people to make their demands to fight the climate crisis heard. More than 100,000 signatures have been collected and 9 campaigns have had an impact. Who can participate?
Young university students who will be in Ankara between October-November 2025 and want to influence decision-makers. Participants will be selected based on gender balance, ethnic diversity and equal distribution. Participation is free of charge.
