You are invited to the webinar: Towards COP31

You are invited to our webinar where we will discuss the role, responsibilities, and preparation processes of civil society organizations in Turkey at the COP 31 summit to be held in Antalya. The webinar, which we will organize with the Global Climate Academy (KİAD), will be held online on Thursday, March 26, 2026, between 14:00 and 16:00.

In the webinar titled “On the Road to COP31” that we will organize with the participation of our Board Member Nesrin Algan and Global Climate Academy (KİAD) Board Members Sibel Sezer and Yunus Arıkan, we will discuss how a rights-based approach can be strengthened at COP31 and how NGOs can participate in the process.

The topics we will cover at the meeting are as follows:

  • COP31 in the context of climate justice and the right to a healthy environment (Nesrin Algan, STGM Board Member)
  • What is COP31? Why is it being held in Antalya and why is it important for civil society?
  • Why is the environment an important topic in international politics? What are the key milestones on this path?
  • Which international structures and international agreements should an NGO in our country closely follow?
  • Tools for civil society to participate in the climate negotiations and action agenda (Yunus Arıkan, KİAD Board Member)

You can register for the event here.
