Postane, operating as a collaborative, productive, and restorative space in Galata, Istanbul, continues its efforts to strengthen civil society in Hatay. In this context, Postane is organizing a new workshop program that aims to bring together actors from different fields to create new spaces for collaborative production and solidarity. Facilitated by facilitators, the workshop aims to strengthen the role of the civil sphere in the post-earthquake reconstruction process.
The workshop's objectives
The workshop aims to bring together civil initiatives contributing to the reconstruction process in Hatay and independent content creators to establish new areas of joint production.
During the program
- Civil initiatives will be supported in communicating their post-earthquake activities in a more visible, inclusive, and effective manner.
- Content creators' motivation to generate social benefit will be aligned with the needs on the ground.
- A new common language will be established between civil society and creative fields through a hope-based communication approach, Hope-based project and content prototypes will be developed to materialize ideas arising from collaboration.
Who can apply?
- People from Hatay, people from Hatay living in other cities, people who produce for Hatay,
- Civil society actors working in the earthquake zone,
- Individual activists, artists, content creators, local news pages
Application categories
- Civil society initiatives: Organizations and employees working in the fields of culture, art, ecology, women's solidarity, children's rights, and community-based production in Hatay.
- Independent content creators and artists: Producers who want to tell social stories in the fields of video, photography, writing, illustration, music, digital media, or design.
