Young Approaches to Health Association Starts Material Support for Sexual and Reproductive Health for Young People Affected by Earthquakes

Young Approaches to Health Association (SGYD) started to provide pads, daily pads, pregnancy tests and condoms for sexual and reproductive health support requests for young people in May.

The sexual and reproductive health support request form aims to ensure that young people affected by the earthquake have access to accurate and reliable information, services and products on sexual and reproductive health after the earthquake. Young people affected by the earthquake can fill out the form for their needs or questions on sexual and reproductive health.

What is provided within the scope of the support?

  • Reliable, scientific data-based and up-to-date information on sexual and reproductive health and sexual rights
  • Regional or online referral to health services, social services, psychosocial support services and other specialized sexual health services depending on the situation and need
  • Referral to legal support for sexual and reproductive health rights and rights violations
  • Material support for sexual and reproductive health

Within the scope of the support, referrals are made to services in the context of sexual and reproductive health and reproductive health, especially information and access to information and materials. However, it is stated that physical orientation may not be possible in all regions of Turkey. For the time being, support is only provided in Turkish, but you can contact the Supporting Young Refugees Program to receive support in Arabic and to get information about other services.
