Young Women Meet in Local Monitoring Process: “Local Monitoring Workshop 101” is Waiting for Participants

The workshop will take place on August 10, 2025. Applications are open for the “Local Monitoring Workshop 101”, which aims to draw attention to the relationship between the climate crisis and gender equality and to empower young women by including them in local monitoring processes.

The workshop is implemented by the Social Climate Association and in partnership with Çiğli Municipality as part of the “Act4EcoGender! - Ecological Young Women's Movement in Çiğli” project of the Association for Monitoring Gender Equality, funded by the European Union.

“Local Monitoring Workshop 101” is open to young women between the ages of 15-30, living in Izmir and interested in ecology and gender equality. The workshop aims to contribute young women to monitor the ecological and gender-based policies of Çiğli Municipality.

Throughout the workshop, participants will discuss the concepts of “monitoring” and “indicator” together, develop ideas for monitoring processes specific to Çiğli Municipality and identify indicators that will contribute to the civil monitoring roadmap.
