Youth Lab Association Publishes the Western Black Sea Workshop Report

Within the scope of the “Youth Participation in the Black Sea Project,” the Youth Lab Association has published the regional report and provincial policy papers containing the outcomes of the Western Black Sea Workshop.

Held in Bartın on 18–20 July 2025, the workshop brought together young people from Bartın, Bolu, Düzce, Karabük, Kastamonu, and Zonguldak.

Over the three-day program, participants expressed their views, analyzed the structural problems they face, and developed concrete solutions on issues such as youth participation in decision-making, lack of youth representation, employment and economic participation, social infrastructure and cultural interaction, transportation, access to cultural and artistic activities, environmental challenges, combating addiction, the limited availability of social activity spaces, and the lack of working and social spaces for young people.

As part of the workshop, separate policy papers were prepared for each province in order to highlight region-specific needs. The provincial reports provide tailored solutions to the problems faced by young people in Bartın, Bolu, Düzce, Karabük, Kastamonu, and Zonguldak.
