The Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme empowers young leaders to use intercultural dialogue as a transformative strategy to address global challenges. The first edition’s theme is: “Learning to Collaborate for a Shared Future: Using dialogue to foster social cohesion in a world on the move.”

Timeline (Tentative)
- September 2025: Online workshops
- October 2025: Finalize project plans, grants disbursed
- Nov 2025 – May 2026: Project implementation
- April 2026: Global Youth Leaders Dialogue in Guangzhou, China
- May 2026: Final reporting
- Post-May 2026: Ongoing alumni activities
Programme activities and applications will be conducted in English.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be 25–45 years old by September 1, 2025
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to intercultural dialogue
- Show potential to drive change
- Commit to full participation in all activities
Projects must:
- Align with the annual theme
- Be implementable within 6 months
- Be local or national in scope
Selection Steps
- Submit application and documents by June 22, 2025
- 50 selected participants notified by August 2025
