Youth Solidarity Fund

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) has announced a call for proposals for peace and dialogue projects carried out by young people under the Youth Solidarity Fund. The deadline for applications is August 15, 2025.

Purpose

The Youth Solidarity Fund (YSF) provides seed funding to youth-led organizations to implement intercultural and interfaith dialogue projects that promote peace, social inclusion, and mutual understanding across cultures, religions, and communities.

Who can apply?

  • Youth-led organizations (majority of leadership and management under age 35).
  • Projects must be fully developed and managed by youth, for the benefit of youth and society at large.
  • Organizations from eligible countries across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas (see website for full list).

Focus areas

  • Cultural and religious pluralism
  • Prevention of violent extremism (as and when conducive to terrorism)
  • Countering stigma, discrimination, and identity-based conflict
  • Promoting mutual respect, inclusion, and dialogue
  • Supporting peaceful and inclusive societies
  • What Does the Fund Offer?
  • Up to USD 25,000 for project implementation
  • Capacity-building and visibility support from UNAOC
  • Opportunity to contribute to global peacebuilding agendas
