UNFPA Gender Specialist Nurgül Elçik met with local NGO representatives at our Antakya Office on November 14, 2025. During the session, experiences were shared and participants discussed the challenges they face in the field and possible solutions.
On November 16, 2025, the documentary “Missed Lives – Domlar” was screened. The screening was followed by a discussion with director Mehmet Kuyumcu. Participants had the opportunity to talk about the social issues addressed in the film and the director's experiences during the filming process.
Columbia Global Istanbul Center gathered at its Antakya Office on November 18 to introduce the Resilience Research Fund announced after the 2023 earthquakes and to evaluate opportunities for collaboration between national and international academia and NGOs in Hatay. The event addressed ongoing problems in the regions affected by the earthquakes and developed new project ideas to prepare for possible future disasters.
In the last event of the month, the Antakya Municipality Projects Unit and local NGOs met at the STGM Antakya Office to evaluate opportunities for cooperation. The meeting included sharing information on current projects and discussing future opportunities for cooperation.
