We talked to Hilal Esmer from the Association for Combating Sexual Violence, the sexual violence against women and post-violence support mechanisms that came to the agenda again due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Hilal Esmer from the ACSV working with a queer feminist perspective, stated that the issues that concern the whole society, such as the law of execution, should be discussed thoroughly and changes should be made by considering all rights holders, and that the arrangement to be made due to the outbreak can only be discussed under the title of temporary execution.

The language of the video is Turkish.

Reminding that we’re not alone in terms of sexual violence even in the epidemic circumstances, Esmer explained what we could do to protect our mental and physical health during the quarantine process and offered self-help advice.
