Afghan Refugees Solidarity Association is Looking for Teammates

The Afghan Refugees Solidarity Association, which has volunteers throughout Turkey and conducts studies in the field of migration, is seeking teammates for the positions of "Social Cohesion and Protection Project Assistant" and "Finance Associate."

Finance Associate

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field,
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel,
  • At least 2 years of experience in the related field,
  • Technical skills and knowledge in accounting, finance, invoicing and tax procedures,
  • General information on humanitarian aid projects and civil society activities,
  • Being result oriented and tend to work in a team,
  • Good skills in dealing with technology,
  • Good English (speaking, writing, reading)
  • Experience in managing project budgets
  • Effective use of MS office programs (Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint),
  • No relation to military service for male candidates,
  • Be a Turkish citizen,
  • Candidates are sought who have no travel restrictions.

Job Description:

  • Following the financial requirements of the project, reporting and preparing the necessary procedures, guidelines, etc. Preparation of documentation;
  • Overseeing the project's financial planning, budget and expenditures and establishing the necessary mechanisms to do so,
  • Performing the daily financial activities of the project and tracking the procedures;
  • Track, process and retain all types of financial records and documents;
  • Manage and control expenditures and all corporate payments;
  • Prepare internal, legal and external financial reports required for the project;
  • Provide guidance and support to the project team on all financial matters;
  • Participate in external audits;
  • Prepare all types of information, documents, applications and reports to be submitted to the donor institution and ensure that they are properly completed,
  • Banking operations, preparing and monitoring payment orders,
  • Manage and report purchasing processes in accordance with internal procedures,
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in coordination with the Project Coordinator and Accounting.

 

Project Assistant for Social Cohesion and Protection

Required Qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in one of the departments of universities, preferably in psychology, sociology, social work or other social sciences and related disciplines,
  • Good English language, speaking, reading and writing skills,
  • At least 2 years of experience in the relevant field,
  • Knowledge and experience in areas such as team management, monitoring and reporting,
  • Technical skills and knowledge in project cycle management,
  • Information on psychosocial support, case management, education and social adaptation programs,
  • Be results-oriented and inclined to work as part of a team,
  • Ability to effectively use MS office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint),
  • No relation to military service for male candidates,
  • Be a Turkish citizen,
  • Candidates are sought who have no travel restrictions.

Job Description:

  • Plan social cohesion programs to be implemented in Kayseri, monitor their implementation and report on progress by providing necessary support to the responsible project manager,
  • Prepare the necessary reports (technical and financial) on the project and assist the Project Coordinator in this regard,
  • Ensure that the project beneficiary data is fully completed by regularly recording and tracking the project beneficiary data in the facility's database,
  • Contribute to the development of structured social cohesion modules, case studies and trainings, if needed,
  • Participate in a communication network involving local authorities and CSOs to improve services offered to clients in the field,
  • Timely reporting of weekly, monthly and periodic results, progress, difficulties, actions taken and lessons learned in the implementation of activities and tasks,
  • Assist in organizing the necessary meetings and training activities within the project and participate in these activities, conduct logistics studies, ensure the organization of events according to the procedures within the project,
  • Assist the Project Coordinator in preparing revisions, if necessary, taking into account the budget and work plan of the project,
  • Assist the Project Coordinator in the implementation of the project activities (grant program, trainings, meetings, monitoring visits, etc.) in accordance with the schedule,
  • Prepare corporate documents, corporate correspondence and reports,
  • Assist in the preparation of documents, materials and visual, audio or written resources to be published/used for the target audience as part of the project,
  • The Project Assistant will also be expected to participate in the institutional affairs of the Afghan Refugee Solidarity and Assistance Association.
