Child Rights in the Digital World Trainer Training

Child Rights in the Digital World Club will organize a Trainer Training on Child Rights in the Digital World in Izmir on July 29-30, 2023.

Topics to be covered in the training

  • Rights-Based Work with Children - Child Safety
  • Child Rights in International Conventions
  • Digital Literacy (Digital Violence, Digital Rights, Child Protection in Digital, Online Protection Mechanisms)
  • International Good Practices
  • Non-formal Education Methods

Who can apply?

  • Adopting a child-centered education approach,
  • Are interested in the theme of digital literacy and want to have knowledge about the concepts,
  • Motivated by the dissemination of training modules
  • Persons directly or indirectly involved in the field of children's rights

Criteria to be considered when evaluating the application form:

  • Experience working with children
  • Motivation to fully participate in online and face-to-face programs
  • Volunteering potential
  • Experience working with different stakeholders

Expectations from Participants

  • Conducting digital literacy workshops with at least 50 children within 3 or 6 months
  • Contributing to the dissemination of digital literacy modules
  • Contributing to public, civil society and academia collaborations
  • Full participation in face-to-face and online programs,

Who is the Child Rights in the Digital World Club?

The organization was established in July 2022 by child rights activists residing in Izmir and Muğla, with the aim of ensuring the implementation, raising awareness, and conducting advocacy efforts for documents addressing children's rights in the digital realm, within the framework of international human rights to which Turkey is a party, namely the mechanisms of the Council of Europe and the United Nations. The organization focuses particularly on the local level in Turkey.
