Digital Cultural Heritage Network Invites to Wiki- Editathon for Post-Disaster Cultural Heritage Protection

The Digital Cultural Heritage Network, which works on introducing digital cultural heritage to a wide audience, informing those interested in the field and informing individuals about it, is looking for participants for the editathon event it will organize to expand and create Wikipedia and Wikidata articles about cultural assets such as museums, libraries, ruins in the regions affected by the February 6 earthquakes.

20 participants will be accepted for the editathon that will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Istanbul. Anyone over the age of 18 can apply for the event.

• You can apply until 23:59 on Saturday, February 17th.
• Applications will be evaluated by experts from the Digital Cultural Heritage Network.
• After the evaluation, participants will be contacted by phone and email.
• All applicants whose applications are either successful or unsuccessful will be notified by Monday, February 19, 2024.
• Wiki-Editathon accepts applications from all over Turkey.

Accommodation and travel costs belong to the participants. The language of instruction is Turkish. Trainings are free of charge.
