The second part of COP15 will reconvene with face-to-face meetings in Kunming, China, from April 25 to May 8, 2022.

The Policy Document contains recommendations under three main headings for the protection of small-scale fisheries and biodiversity, with a particular emphasis on marine coastal protected areas in Turkey.

1. Inclusive governance,

2. Increasing the scope of new protected areas and marine and coastal protected areas,

3. Effective management of marine and coastal protected areas.

The main outputs and recommendations of the Policy Dialogue for Post-2020 Marine Landscapes in Turkey also support the building blocks of the “2022 International Year of Small-scale Fisheries and Aquaculture Global Action Plan” announced by the World Agriculture Organization (FAO).
