Since the financial legislation related to associations is regulated by different laws and regulations, it can be confusing in practice. Fiscal legislation and practices in Turkey require not only professional experts such as financial experts, accountants, or financial advisors, but also civil society actors such as association employees, managers, members of the association's board of directors (such as the treasurer), and the chairman of the association to have knowledge and awareness about obligations and practices.
We aim to raise awareness of these issues and practices, which are regulated by different laws and regulations, in consideration of our long-standing knowledge and experience, and to inform the representatives of associations and civil society actors in a general framework.
The topics we will cover in the webinar are as follows;
- Associations legislation and financial regulations,
- Member registration procedures, financial books, bookkeeping principles, tax obligations,
- General assembly process and procedures,
- Differences between donation and aid, receiving aid from abroad, and aid abroad.
